Autorespond has been running since 2003. For most of that time it was an email marketing tool with a shop bolted on, and for most of that time that was enough. It is not enough any more, and rebuilding it taught us more about what small businesses actually need than twenty years of feature requests did.
This is what the new platform is, what we deliberately left out, and how to tell whether it fits what you do.
One platform, because the seams were the problem
The typical setup we walk into: an email tool, a checkout, a course platform, a booking page, a page builder, and something in the middle holding it together. Every part works. The failures happen at the seams — a contact that syncs one way but not the other, a purchase that never reaches the automation, a form that quietly stopped posting three weeks ago.
Nobody notices a seam failing. That is the whole problem. You notice the revenue, later.
The new Autorespond puts email and CRM, selling, courses and community, scheduling and your website in one place, on your own domain. Not because one big system is elegant, but because a purchase that updates a contact record in the same database cannot half-fail.
We did not build it all ourselves
The parts come from the WordPress ecosystem: mature plugins with real development teams behind them. We license them, integrate them properly, and run the whole thing on infrastructure we manage. You get one platform, one invoice and one team to ask.
That choice has a consequence worth stating plainly: your data sits in a standard WordPress database on your own domain. There is no export format we invented, and no lock-in dressed up as an integration. If you ever leave, you leave with everything.
Open to your own AI assistant
Every plan includes an MCP connection, which means you can point Claude or another assistant at your own CRM, project boards, help desk and knowledge base and ask it questions in plain language. “Who opened the last three mailings but never bought?” is a query you can now simply ask.
This is not a chatbot we trained on your data. It is your assistant, with your subscription, reading your platform with the permissions you grant. You decide what it can see, and you can revoke that in one click. We wrote up how the access model works in the documentation, because “AI-powered” means nothing if you cannot see where the boundary is.
What we left out
No social media scheduler. No CRM pipeline with deal stages. No help desk for your customers. These are good products and other people build them well; we would build mediocre versions and you would be worse off.
We also did not build a free tier. A platform that sends email on your behalf and stores your customer data needs someone accountable for it, and that costs money. The 14-day trial is a real environment rather than a demo, so you can find out whether it fits before anyone pays anything.
What it costs, and why usage is separate
The core plan is €39 per month excluding VAT, with 1,000 contacts and the hosting, integrations, project boards and AI connection included. Modules go on top of that, and above the included volumes you pay for what you actually use.
Usage is billed separately on purpose. A flat price that covers heavy use means light users subsidise heavy ones, and everyone pays for a ceiling they will never reach. You can work out your own combination in the calculator; it uses the same rates the invoice does.
Who this is not for
If you have one landing page and a mailing list of 200 people, a dedicated email tool is cheaper and simpler. If you run an enterprise sales organisation, you want a CRM built for pipelines.
The fit is the middle: a coach, trainer, consultant or small agency who sells something, follows up on it, and is tired of being the integration layer between six subscriptions.
Where to start
Read what the platform does if you want the overview, or open the documentation if you would rather see how something actually works before you believe it. If you are moving from another system, the migration service explains what comes across and what gets rebuilt.
And if you would rather just try it: fourteen days, your own environment, no card.
