With a sign-up form, new contacts come in by themselves. In this step you build one form, connect it to a list and put it on your website.
Forms in Autorespond are based on Fluent Forms, included in your package. Read the Fluent Forms documentation
1. Build the form #
Go to Forms and create a new form. Keep it short: the fewer fields, the more sign-ups.
- First name and email address.
- A consent checkbox with a short sentence about what you email about (required under the GDPR).
- A clear button, for example “Send me the checklist”.
2. Connect it to your CRM #
In the form, set up the connection with the CRM: choose the list new sign-ups go into, and a tag if you like. Switch on double opt-in: new sign-ups then confirm their address first, so your list stays clean and you can show that they gave permission.
3. Place it #
- On a page in Autorespond: add the form with the form block.
- On another website: use the embed code.
4. Test #
Sign up with your own address and check that the sign-up appears in your CRM. Sending email is switched off during the trial, so the confirmation email does not arrive yet; test the double opt-in again after going live.
Done when #
- Your form is online and connected to a list.
- Double opt-in and the consent checkbox are switched on.
- A test sign-up is in your CRM.
